Teacher Settings

Parent Interviews allows the school to configure what teachers can and cannot do inside the school administration website. Inside the Teachers tab on the Settings page, there are three checkboxes which configure the access permissions for teachers.

  • Allow teachers to book interviews for parents. Enabling this option will allow teachers to book an interview for themselves. The teacher will have the option of selecting or creating a parent, choosing the student, and selecting the appropriate time. This setting is disabled by default.
  • Allow teachers to disable their own time slots. If enabled, teachers will have access to the Availability and Breaks section of the website, but they can only change their own time slot availability. If not enabled, teachers will have to contact a school administrator in order to change their time slot availability.
  • Allow teachers to cancel their own interviews. If this feature is disabled, the Cancel Interview button is hidden from teachers, meaning they will need to contact either the school or the parent to cancel the interview. This option has no effect on school administrators.

You can also customize how teachers are presented to parents when booking their interviews.

  • Display names as First Last / Last, First. This allows you to change how you want teacher names to be presented.
  • Sort teachers by last name. Enabling this option will automatically sort the list of teachers on the booking website by their last name instead of their first name.
  • Automatically capitalize teacher last names. Enabling this option will cause teachers such as John Smith to appear as John SMITH. This setting can be used in conjunction with the Display names option, resulting in SMITH, John.
